Small'ish campsite, great location, large pitches, easy parking close to your tent, fishing and canoeing on site, brick-built charcoal BBQs to use, football field, free freezer for ice blocks.
It would have been nice to have been told about the freezer rather than stumble upon it. The campsite needs a camp shop selling basics like milk, fruit, veg, snacks (the Pyramid Bar has some dry goods like pasta, but not much of a selection)...especially as Tremolat only has a bakery and noting else. Lalinde (20 mins away) is the nearest Intermarche...so a shop on site could make money!
Big pitches, separated by hedges, right on the Dordogne. Rubbish and recycling collected daily.
Electricity supply kept tripping, but was quickly reset.

Stunning site. Peaceful campsite with large shady pitches within easy reach of toilets and washing.
Food is not served all day in the restaurant and WiFi is pretty poor.
Lovely pitch right by the river.

Very laid back and friendly welcome. We were the only English family there and loved that. Immaculate virtually brand new cabin in a quiet wood lined cul de sac of about 10 other cabins. The campsite is aimed at the French so expect espresso cups and a filter coffee machine rather than mugs or a kettle. Beautiful river side walks plus canoe, and paddle board hire. Good value for money. Lovely swimming pools. Sun loungers are a bit ropey with no umbrellas for shade during a hot day but then the french go to the pool later when it's cooler. Free wifi. Lovely laid back appeal. It's simple but good
Acorns pinging like gunshots on the metal roof of the veranda which can give a bit of a shock especially in the quiet of night!
The quality of the cabin. The fact that cars weren't allowed by the cabins. That children played outside all evening outside the cabins. Good full sized fridge and freezer in the kitchen. Good shower.
No grill in the kitchen. The microwave pretended to have one but it was not fit for purpose. The shower position couldn't change so it sprayed directly into the bathroom floor. No cupboard space for food.
