If you want a quiet, peaceful rest surrounded by mature trees and a magic pool get this site on your bucket list. We have been there a number of times and would go again and again. Lovely spot. My only problem is it is 1000miles form home but worth every mile. Keep up the good work Derrick!!
Very few, nothing to shout about

Extremely helpful and welcoming staff; great views of the castle and just a short walk to the river and cafes. The whole site was well tended - bushes trimmed and pitches with well maintained grass.

Excellent reception, Derek was very knowledgeable and helpful. The little restaurant provided a good meal on our first evening. We liked the thought given to running the site sustainably - especially the chickens to eat food scraps! Careful thought had been given to create a footpath directly to Beynac, avoiding the road.
There were some lovely pitches. Ours was on the smaller side and completely unshaded. As we visited during a heatwave it meant our van was very hot. There weren’t really any shaded, public spaces to sit.
Accommodation review
Lovely flat pitch, convenient access to water
No shade and minimal privacy between our pitch and one on the other side

There is a really friendly and relaxed ambience at Les Deux Vallees. The facilities are of a high standard. High points include - very clean shower and toilet block, great swimming pool area, good location for visiting this part of the Dordogne, easy and scenic walk to Beynac from the campsite.
The internet access was sometimes inadequate.
Accommodation review
The Safari tent is great- comfy bed, very well equipped, very clean. Good proximity to all campsite facilities. The tent has everything you need for a great camping experience.

Eco friendly campsite where you are encouraged to recycle all your waste. We had a lovely pitch overlooking the Chateau but other pitches were just as nice. Very clean facilities and nice bar and restaurant area. Pool area very clean and inviting. Short walk into very pretty village with lots of amenities
Supply receptacle for food waste

Relaxing and quiet amongst greenery, can walk to Jardin Marqueyssac avoiding main road.
Would book an XL pitch next time as a little tight on the L pitch.

friendly site, good facilities, easy to drive to, lovely outlook, beautiful views. Lots to do locally
None, we like it the way it is.
Accommodation review
compact, nice veranda so we were able to sit out with a bit of shade on sunny days but also gave shelter from the rain. Parking beside the accommodation. Pool facility is good for warm days.
a smaller dish that would fit microwave oven would have been useful, and some wine glasses (glass tumblers were available but we do like a wine glass)

Very nice location. Easy walk off-road to the village. Very quiet at night. The pool was obviously the pride and joy of the site owner and very well maintained.
The chickens seemed to be kept in appalling conditions, fed on random waste food (muscle shells!). The pen was poky and smelt of garbage. The sport areas were neglected with the boule court being totally overgrown and non-existent. We didn't use the bar or restaurant because the drinks were massively overpriced, as were the dishes on the very limited menu. There were very few customers, so why bother at all?
Accommodation review
Nice view. Felt very safe and secure despite being on the edge of the campsite.
Uneven, very badly marked out. We paid extra for a larger pitch but there seemed to be no difference between pitches. Seems to be a waste of time charging differently for pitches.

The setting was idyllic & we had a great pitch enjoying the sunsets. The facilities were clean & met all our needs, including daily bread & croissants made freshly on site. Loved the walk into Beynac. The owner & family were lovely & very friendly & helpful. Will visit again & recommend the site.
Nothing for me.
