The valley of prehistory

Just a few minutes from the village is La Roque-Saint-Christophe, a surprising site carved by man into the rock of a high limestone cliff a kilometre long and 80 metres high. These troglodytic dwellings were occupied by man from 55,000 BC until the Renaissance. During the Middle Ages, this troglodytic city grew to 5 storeys high and included a fort.
